Beth Hickey has been an active musician in London since arriving from Northern Ontario to study music at the University of Western Ontario. She received her BA (MUS) and has been Music Director at Chalmers Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, serving as organist, pianist and leader of adult and children’s choirs. A member of the RCCO, she initiated and organized the first of an annual London Presbytery-wide Hymnfest. Her love for ensemble and community has led to accompanying in elementary and secondary schools, arts schools, private string programs, community choirs, festivals and concerts. Beth is currently the Collaborative Pianist for the UWO Choir, Inshallah Choir and Cantorion Choir and has a growing piano studio. She has a passion for bringing companionship and joy to long term care residents through her music. She is a member of London International Folkdance Experience (L.I.F.E.) and enjoys yoga and creative writing.
